I love meatballs and I love providing you with more AIP recipes. These AIP Orange Garlic Meatballs are going to be hit! They’re easy to make, baked in the oven to easy cleanup, and pair perfectly with my Egg-Free Garlic Mayo.  I love adding citrus to recipes as it adds a great Vitamin C boost and wonderful flavor.

What is AIP?

AIP is short for Autoimmune Paleo it’s an elimination protocol used to help those with autoimmune disease heal their gut and discover which foods are contributing to their symptoms. You can read more about it here.  Ingredients like eggs, nuts, and seed-based spices are omitted on this protocol, so getting creative with flavor profiles is a must. AIP helped me heal my body in many ways and put my autoimmune disease in remission. You can read more about that here.

Orange Garlic Meatballs

As I mentioned above I love adding citrus to recipes! In these AIP meatballs, I also bring in garlic and ginger too because yum!!!! You can go fresh with these flavors if you like, the same as my AIP Ginger Lime Wings. When using fresh vs dried seasonings you want to multiply the amount by three. I keep McCormick Gourmet Valencia Orange Peel in my spice cabinet at all times!  When I want to hit the easy button on my recipes I rely heavily on my dried spices.
